Hi Y’all,
I love a good highlight , more than contouring. I love the brightness to my face that it brought. People are now into strobing which is: According to Douglass ( a makeup artist), a “strobed” face is achieved by applying highlighter where the sun would naturally hit your face — including the bridge of the nose, tip of the chin, center of the forehead, cupid’s bow, brow bones, and cheekbones. The process can even begin under your foundation with a radiance-boosting primer or a very emollient moisturizer. This is off the refinery 29 website.
Now, this is nothing new. I rather like highlighting and would do a full face makeup routine rather than add bronzer or a contour to my face. I feel like highlighting makes my nose look nicer, and there was a brightness in my skin that could not be contained. Basically, I feel like a goddess.
So I wanted to show you my arsenal of light catching emollients and make it into a series.

I like that you’ll be trying out such a wide variety of items! Can’t wait to see how they perform to achieve the highlighted look (I refuse to use “strobing” because it’s getting SO out of hand, I am seeing it EVERYWHERE omg!)
Yeah. I guess my use of a luminizer and then using a highlight would be strobing in my opinion. We shall see I hope I don’t look like I dipped in my face in a bag of highlight
Great post! I’ve heard such great things about LA Girl’s proconcealer:)
